Accelerated Reading
Gilbert Public Schools currently uses Renaissance Place, Enterprise version. Accelerated Reader and other Renaissance programs are on-line and accessible via the web at all of our schools.

The Accelerated Reading program engages students in independent reading practice outside of the classroom.  This means your child will choose their own books based on goals and levels set by their teacher. After reading their books, your child will independently complete short reading practice quizzes to check that they understood what they read, and then monitor their own reading progress.

Renaissance Home Connect

Renaissance has a special feature called Renaissance Home Connect. Renaissance Home Connect is a fun, easy-to-use, easy-to-understand web-based interface (web page) that allows students, parents and the teacher to share in the educational experience by viewing progress while outside of school.

As of January 2010, you can view Renaissance Home Connect from any computer with an Internet connection using these browsers:

Internet Explorer® 6.02 or later
Firefox® 1.5 or later
Safari™ 2.0.3 or later

To log in to Renaissance Home Connect
(please note the “s” in “https” if manually typing the URL into your browser)

AR BookFinder

Does this book I have at home have an Accelerated Reader test?

Searching for books with a corresponding Accelerated Reader quiz is easy with AR BookFinder. Students and parents can search using criteria such as book level, interest level, title, author, fiction/nonfiction, subject, and more.

To use AR BookFinder

Type what you want want to search for in the blank field and click Go.  You can then sort your search results, select book titles to add to your AR BookBag, or print a list of your search results.

Note: Not all titles found on AR BookFinder are available in the Augusta Ranch library.
