During the 2018-2019 school year I will be teaching Intermediate Resource classes. These classes use specialized instruction to assist students in eventually mastering grade level concepts in the subject areas of reading, writing, math, interpersonal skills, social skills, organization, and behavior.

About Me

Augusta Ranch has been my teaching home for the last 8 years. I love being a Rattler! During my time here at Augusta, I've taught resource classes in every grade level. I enjoy teaching and learning from the older elementary kids very much. My favorite subject to teach is math, only because of the cool manipulitives. LOL I chose to become a teacher because of the great teachers I had as a child. It was not until I reached the age of almost 14 that I truly learned how to read and write multi-syllabic words. I have Dyslexia. If it weren't for the amazing teachers I had growing up, I would not be able to read today. Mrs. Moppin, Mrs. Gomez, Mrs. Burger, and Mr. Bizzar are the reasons I was able to graduate in the top 1% of my class in high school and Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University. I teach, not for the money, but to give back. I want to help students reach their potential, no matter if they have a disability like I did.

I am married, going on 18 years. I have two children. My son, Vinny, just turned 17 years old, and my daughter, Heidi, is turning 12. I have two dogs; Dexter is a Miniature Bull Terrier (the Target dog), and Alice is a Chihuahua (the Taco Bell dog). I also have a corn snake named Professor Snape. My favorite hobbies are kayaking, hiking, traveling, READING, going to the movies, spending time with my family, playing with my dogs and snake, and knitting. I love, love, love ALL things Ocean and Harry Potter. I love to dance, sing, and I'm an OK artist.
