Sonoma Ranch Elementary School hosted its third annual Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 21st, bringing students and parents together for a day of fun and fitness. This event not only encouraged physical activity but also provided a glimpse into the district's growing running programs.
The Arizona Department of Education (ADE) has released the 2023-24 School Letter Grades. For the 2023-24 school year Gilbert Public Schools has achieved an ‘A’ letter grade for our school district. Further, all GPS schools have achieved either an ‘A’ or ‘B’ letter grade, rating them as excellent or highly performing by the Arizona Department of Education.
Technology Integration Educators (TIEs) play an important role in ensuring students receive an engaging educational experience that develops critical thinking, problem-solving, and technology skills which will serve them well throughout their academic journey and beyond.
Congratulations to Superstition Springs student Ruby, whose speech at the Rosie the Riveter National Gala was a success! There were about 350 people in attendance. You may recognize Ruby as one of the winners of last year’s Gilbert Public Schools Oratorical Contest.

As we communicated at the beginning of this school year all of our students who ride a bus must have their Student ID Badges to ride the bus to and from school every day.
Huge congratulations to our amazing students and staff at the Gilbert Adult Learning Program! We're thrilled to announce that they have been awarded ‘Excelling Program of the Year for Overall Adult Education Services' by the Arizona Department of Education for the second year in a row.
Governing Board President and GPS leader Sheila Uggetti passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, leaving a powerful legacy in the district and public education as a whole. On Tuesday, September 17th employees across the district will be wearing green for Sheila, representing her favorite holiday, St.Patrick’s Day, and an opportunity to honor a true friend who was an inspiration to so many, in education and life.
