Learning Comes to Life in Kindergarten at Augusta Ranch | Enroll Now!

Our Kindergarten students enjoyed a special visit from author Dawnelle Middlemiss, who joined them to share her new book, The ABCs of PE. During her visit, students took part in an interactive storytime session that combined reading with movement as they followed along with fun exercises that matched the book. Our Kindergarten students jumped, stretched, laughed, and stayed engaged while practicing listening skills, coordination, and teamwork. This helped students see how reading connects to real-life learning and how movement can support both health and academics.

Our Kindergarten classrooms provide a nurturing, welcoming environment where every child is supported and encouraged to explore, grow, and feel part of a close-knit school community. Students engage in hands-on learning, small-group activities, and daily routines that help them build academic skills, confidence, and independence. Augusta Ranch offers both Conventional and Accelerated Kindergarten programs.

Conventional Kindergarten provides rigorous instruction in core academic areas that address the Arizona state standards in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Conventional also offers rich opportunities for students that promote positive social skills and character development within a structured learning environment.

Accelerated Kindergarten offers students a fast-paced and engaging academic experience for learners who are ready to move quickly through core concepts. While following the same daily schedule as other Kindergarten classes, students in Accelerated programs go through the curriculum at a quicker pace and in more depth.

In Accelerated programs, students rotate through hands-on literacy and math stations, work collaboratively in small groups, and engage in project-based activities that integrate science and social studies.
